The Role of Polyethylene Wax Emulsion in Coatings
Polyethylene wax emulsion has good stability. In coating formulations, it can effectively improve the wear resistance of the paint film, reduce the friction coefficient of the coating, play a non-adhesive role, and extend the service life of the product.

1. It can improve the toughness of coatings: When plastic is used as the substrate, the requirements for coatings differ, and low-molecular-weight polyethylene wax emulsion is commonly used. When applied to acrylic or polyethylene glycol copolymers, the crosslinking and affinity of thermosetting coatings will be significantly enhanced.
2. It can improve the wear resistance, scratch resistance and adhesion resistance of coatings. It can be used as primer and topcoat in transparent high-gloss systems without affecting transparent gloss and recoatability. The wear resistance, scratch resistance, hardening, smoothness and adhesion resistance of the coating are significantly improved.
In various coating/printing processes, a dry, full and anti-adhesive paint film is often required, and the main anti-adhesive effect is achieved by adding water-based wax emulsion to the coating formula.
