Application of Oxidized Wax in PVC Profiles
For PVC profile manufacturers, bright and smooth product appearance is an important way to open up sales. However, the relatively complex product appearance of profiles adds some difficulty to production. A suitable lubricant not only helps to achieve a smooth product appearance but also improves gloss and promotes product mold release.
Qihong oxidized wax is a suitable lubricant in PVC profile formulations. Whether in lead salt, calcium-zinc, or organotin stabilizer systems, adding an appropriate amount of oxidized polyethylene wax can achieve the following functions:
1. Excellent and long-lasting lubricating performance.2. Promote mold release and endow products with a complete and bright structure.
3. Oxidized polyethylene wax contains functional groups (carboxyl and hydroxyl) that can improve melting compatibility with PVC, thus having good compatibility with PVC. During extrusion, oxidized wax can provide efficient internal and external lubrication.
4. Low viscosity and low surface tension, with good spreadability at the interface, making it easy to form an interface layer.
5. Fully oxidized with good thermal stability, not easy to decompose or react with other additives during processing, and will not affect the performance of other additives.
6. Non-corrosive and will not cause damage to equipment.
7. High melting point oxidized wax, according to the dosage recommended by engineers, will not migrate or precipitate.
