In the production of PVC heat shrinkable films, plasticizers are one of the important additives in the processing of PVC heat shrinkable materials. They can reduce the intermolecular forces of the polymer, increase the plasticity of the polymer, and improve the molding performance of PVC. The amount of plasticizer should not be too much, otherwise it will reduce the mechanical properties of the film, decrease the shrinkage stress of the film, and affect the shrinkage rate. Based on the lubrication mechanism, the dosage ratio of internal and external lubricants should be adjusted properly to reduce compounding costs. Stearic acid and oxidized polyethylene wax have carboxyl and hydroxyl polar groups on their molecular chains, which can significantly improve compatibility with PVC and provide unique internal and external lubrication effects.
