Industry Applications
Leather Surface Gloss Regulator
From footwear and fashion accessories to furniture, apparel, and automotive interiors, leather plays numerous roles in daily life. To produce leather suitable for various applications, manufacturers rely on a range of processing aids and additives to provide softness, toughness, cost-effectiveness, and functionality.
Wax emulsions play the following roles in leather finishing processes:
Leather Brightener
Qihong Wax Emulsion RG4040 uses high-density polyethylene wax as the film-forming substance. When applied in leather finishing, it forms a continuous and dense wax film on the leather surface. With an average particle size of ≤0.1μm, the surface is smooth, resulting in strong light reflection and thus enhancing the gloss of the leather surface.
Matting Agent
The matting effect of wax emulsions is relative. Dispersions with larger particle sizes, when used in leather finishing, form a relatively uneven coating on the leather surface, causing light scattering and achieving a matte effect.
