Industry Applications
Application of Wax Emulsion in Textile Industry
Wax emulsion is one of the essential additives in the textile industry, mainly used for yarn finishing and textile post-finishing. In yarn finishing, applying wax emulsion to finished threads can effectively improve the glossiness and color vividness of the threads, as well as enhance their elasticity and tensile strength. In textile post-finishing, as an important component of textile post-finishing agents, wax emulsion can endow textiles with excellent soft hand feel, better smoothness and glossiness.
In addition, silicone wax emulsions compounded with organosilicon are also frequently used in textiles. Due to the fluffy structure of sewing threads, if directly treated with organosilicon, silicone oil can easily penetrate into the interior of the threads, leading to increased costs and greater cleaning workload. However, wax itself is an excellent lubricating product, and when compounded with organosilicon, it ensures that the wax stays on the surface of the threads without penetration, while effectively improving the problems caused by silicone oil treatment.
Qihong RG4040 wax emulsion is a high-concentration emulsion of special composite wax polymers. It is used for soft and smooth finishing of cheese yarns, knitted fabrics, etc. It can reduce the friction coefficient between yarns and between yarns and metals, thereby making the tension on the yarns uniform during winding and weaving, reducing breakages, and well improving the quality of textiles. It has excellent hydrophilicity to yarns, provides a good hand feel, plays a role in lubricating the yarns, enhancing smoothness and reducing friction coefficient, and at the same time provides strong protection for the yarns.
